I would sick with Winnebago havning had both. There was no comparison in workmanship. If your heart is set on a DP Check out the ones made be Winnebago.

RE: 6.8-8.1 Fuel milage
7.95 mpg average on the 8.1 over 21,000 miles. Thew MH is a Winnebago 38G on the 22,000 workhorse chasis. I pull a Ford Escape.

National RV service in Rapid City, SD
Friends of mine are having trouble with their slides and jacks on a National Rv class A. Does any know of anyone who can do service on them in the Rapid City SD are. the jacks are electric motor and a gear box. I have no idea how the slides work. thanks.

FBP can cause the AC to work harder depending on how dark it is. Maybe even be overloaded. How many cars painted black do you see with AZ plates? How many cars painted white have AZ plates. Maybe there is a reason.
Here in Michigan the dark paint could be an advantage. It might melt the ice in July.

fresh water tank, store full or empty
I plan on taking several two week trips this summer, with a week or two between them. The question is what to do with the fresh water tank. Fill it up after each trip? Empty it after each trip? Clean before each trip?
Your thoughts please.

55mph national speed limit
Remember the 55mph national speed limit several years ago? How about doing it again? Not only would we get better miles per gallon then at 70mph, it should also make more gas available.

Has your MH been called a "Winnebago"
When talking about my RVing life and MH to non RV'ers I have heard the reply several times " Oh, you have a Winnebago". This doesn't bother me because I now have a Winnebago. However, some friends of mine who do not own a Winnebago have been told the same thing to their dismay. Has this happened to you?
